Fresh papalo, bright lime, and a touch of Islay smoke create an unexpectedly herbal, citrus-forward cocktail.

Heat water to a boil, once hot, add the sugar and stir until dissolved, wait until it reaches room temperature and blend with the papalo, strain through a coffee filter and bottle.

Add all the ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake vigorously.

Serve in a previously chilled glass.

Garnish as desired with a lime twist.
